After analysing the latest numbers and statistics made available by ProFootballDB, BeSoccer have managed to determine the best Bundesliga starting XI for 2020 and it should come as no surprise that FC Bayern Munich feature heavily in the side.
Indeed, Hans-Dieter Flick’s side were one of the best in the world last season as they romped past everyone put in front of them in the Bundesliga as they won their eighth title in a row, whilst they decimated most teams that they played against in the UEFA Champions League as well as they lifted that title as well.
BeSoccer have looked at ten different attributes to find each of the best players in each position and have managed to come up with a starting XI that would make any manager envious of being able to boast such a side and one that would surely make bettors look for a number of new customer offers if they were to place a wager on them.
Peter Gulacsi takes the number one spot in this team as the Red Bull Leipzig shot-stopper appears to come out on top over the 34-year-old Manuel Neuer in perhaps the biggest surprise of the XI. The Hungary international, though, did have an excellent 2020 in fairness.
Another Red Bull Leipzig man makes the team, with Austrian Marcel Sabitzer earning his place in the side, whilst he is accompanied by Borussia Monchengladbach’s Stefan Lainer. Indeed, 2020 has been a great year for Monchengladbach as they finished highly in the Bundesliga and managed to make plenty of noise in this season’s edition of the UEFA Champions League.
Mats Hummels of Borussia Dortmund is also in the defence however the rest of the team is solely made up of players from Bayern Munich. Alphonso Davies has well and truly burst onto the scene with his performances for Die Roten over the last few years and the 20-year-old shows no signs of slowing down.
The Canadian is joined by David Alaba, although this season looks to be his last at Bayern Munich as he enters the final six months of his contract and looks no closer to signing a new deal with the Bundesliga giants.
The midfielder of this starting XI is stacked with Bayern talent, with Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Thomas Muller and Serge Gnabry all featuring, whilst Robert Lewandowski leads the line. It is not a surprise that the Poland international is the striker of this team, though, when you consider how many goals he scored in 2020 and that he was statistically the best striker in the world.
